Jesse Lopez

"I built BLC because the curriculum I wanted to teach from didn't exist yet. So I wrote it down. All of it."

Jesse has been competing on the WCS circuit for fifteen years and teaching for twelve of them. Along the way he developed a teaching method that treats the dance as a language — a set of vocabulary and grammar that students can study, not just imitate.

BLC is the culmination of those years of notes. He still teaches private lessons in Kansas City and on tour, and uses BLC itself to assign drills between sessions.

Ariel Peck

Ariel is Jesse's primary teaching and competition partner. She co-designed the language model that sits at the heart of BLC, and leads the follower-focused pathway content.

Her teaching specializes in the parts of WCS that are usually glossed over — anchor mechanics, momentum diffusion, and the partnership communication that makes social dancing actually work.
